    After a great year, we are recording! We are so excited to finally share some of our music with you.

    We have been blessed to work with two amazing producers who constantly try to get the best out of each of us. We have high hopes for this one thank you to our fans/friends who support us, our manager and people who take pretty photos.

  2. Its finally time!

    Liking us is made easy… SO JUST DO IT!! Please? :)

    Ahoy! Our next and perhaps last show for a little while is on April 4th, 2012. (details are on our calendar)

    After a long awaited year, multiple  free shows and a lot of hard work we finally have a brilliant opportunity to record. We are so blessed and excited to work with amazing hands and ears on our first album and hope  you will stay tuned for its release date!

    We are hoping to unleash this beauty in May..

    Subscriptions to our YouTube channel will grant you one free song upon its release! We think thats a pretty good deal…

  3. GARAGE BAND? Yes.

    Our practice space (garage) shares a wall with my sisters studio apartment (sorry) and often times should practice exceed 3 hours she will pound on the door encouraging us to SHUT UP.

     

    Most other times, we are lucky to get a friendly neighbor knocking asking if they can listen to our practice.

  4. I WILL.

    Yesterday was filled with advice and knowledge – too much to digest in only 20 hours. I learned about so many things we need to accomplish and so many things seemed unattainable. But I decided in the midst of all the chaos to attempt to stay grounded and VISUALIZE and VERBALIZE these things.

    Mid vocal practice (after tons of off key notes and with wilting confidence) I remember my teacher at the time telling me “YOU CAN’T MEANS YOU WON’T!!!!” So I can, and I will.

    I will -

    be inspired

    attempt to write a song today, tomorrow and so on..

    play the venues of my dreams

    not give up

    not quit

    always love

    always be kind

    never become jaded

    not fear judgement

    not judge!!!!

    support those who support me, and those who need support

    travel

    be successful

    accept knowledge

    be open minded

    be healthy

    BE GROUNDED.

    Once in a while we are blessed to meet people who will do something for nothing.

    Then maybe if we send good vibes out

    into the universe we meet people who

    will do something and expect nothing, gladly.

    Then if we are REALLY REALLY lucky we meet someone who does something and expects nothing in return, who happens to be INCREDIBLY talented and willing to come to your shows, smile when you’re feeling nervous and take pictures that make you look as if you weren’t nervous one bit. I could go on, but I do ramble often so without further ado,

  8. Warning, this is about me.

    We started this band December of last year and played our first show on New Years eve at my dads house…

    I never had any reason to sing in front of people (I might also add I’m deathly afraid of Karaoke) let alone singing solely in a band. A band I accidentally pieced together and now absolutely pour my whole being into. Our band is SRElephants now. In a hurry looking for a name we chose a great painting “Swans reflecting Elephants” by Salvador Dali.

    Do I love the name? No. But you better believe when I went to look for a domain – it was alllll ours.

    I also have a problem pronouncing it I’ve been told, like a lot of things.

    Anyway, my name is Gabrielle. I write the music for our band.

    I started writing music when I was about 17, but not seriously (horrible music, so horrible I’m embarrassed listening to it alone… and music I write now will probably be the same in 1 year.. and on and on.) I think wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much so I decided to write music and since then my mind has been a little bit more at peace with itself.

    We are all learning from each other everyday and growing closer to each other. I hope this path is a fun one if nothing else. I LOVE OUR BAND. Thank you for listening to me ramble.
